Elbow is a kind of common pipe fitting for connecting two pipes with same or different nominal diameters,  then make the pipeline turn in certain angle. In pipeline system, elbow is used in changing the direction of pipeline. It accounts for 80% of all used pipe fittings in pipeline system,  which is the largest ratio. Generally,  we adopt different forming technology for elbows with different materials or wall thickness. At present, the forming technology for seamless elbow includes hot pushing,  stamping and extruding etc. According to production technology, it could be divided into welded elbow,  punched elbow, pushed elbow and casted elbow etc. According to the production standard,  it could be divided into electric standard,  water standard, American standard, German standard,  Japanese standard and Russian standard. We have elbows meet the German standard, Japanese standard and American standard etc. The common materials of elbow are cast iron,  stainless steel,  alloy steel,  forgeable cast iron, carbon steel,  nonferrous metal and plastic etc. The connection method with pipe: soldered directly (common method), flange connection, thermal connection, capacitance connection, threaded connection and socket connection etc.
